INJI VATAGAM;

Inji Vatagam is an effective remedy for relieving abdominal distension by relieving flatulence. It acts as a good appetizer by improving the digestion and absorption of food. It can be used in Indigestion, Anorexia, and all Vata Disorders.

ROLE OF INGREDIENTS;

Zingiber officinale - is one of the most widely used natural products consumed as a spice and medicine for treating nausea, dysentery, heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, loss of appetite, infections, cough, and bronchitis.

Piper longum - is most commonly used to treat chronic bronchitis, asthma, constipation, gonorrhea, paralysis of the tongue, diarrhea, cholera, chronic malaria, viral hepatitis, respiratory infections, stomachache, bronchitis, diseases of the spleen, cough, and tumors.

Piper nigrum - ''Piperine''exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelet, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-asthmatics, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antispasmodic, antidepressants, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, anti-thyroids, antibacterial.

Cuminum cyminum- widely used as the spice for their distinctive aroma, they are also commonly used in traditional medicine to treat a variety of diseases, including chronic diarrhea and dyspepsia, acute gastritis, diabetes, and cancer

Elettaria cardamomum - is used to cure indigestion, nausea, vomiting and used to expel out phlegm out of the body. It is very beneficial in congestion of lungs and other pulmonary diseases. It is also used as a laxative and used to prevent stomach pain, flatulence, and gripping.

Myristica fragrans -is a well-known aromatic perennial plant with a characteristic scent that possesses multiple medicinal applications, being used to treat stomach ulcers, indigestion, liver disorders, and as an emmenagogue, nervine, diuretic, diaphoretic, and aphrodisiac.

Nardostachys Grandiflora -used to treat hysteria, syncope epilepsy, and mental weakness. It also exhibits cardioprotective activity and is used in the treatment of neural diseases.

Pimpinella anisum - is used as an analgesic in migraine and also as a carminative, aromatic, disinfectant, and diuretic in traditional medicine.

Costus speciosus -are plants that contain reservoirs of anti-diabetic effects as well as other medicinal properties. These plants have been known to demonstrate pharmacological activities such as anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, antioxidant, anti-dyslipidemic, and anti-cancer.

Mesua Nagassarium -is a rare plant that is traditionally being used for its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, blood purifier, anthelmintic, cardiotonic, diuretic, expectorant, antipyretic, purgative, antiasthmatic, antiallergic, and several other effects.

Cinnamomum Tamala - is used as tooth powder to treat dental caries, bad odor, and gingivitis. Powder of the bark of Tejpatra is mixed with honey in a dose of 3- 5 g to treat cough and asthma. The paste of the bark of the plant is applied as a paste over the area affected with swelling and pain.
